The DC Center would like to invite members of our community to attend a wonderful evening of fun, entertainment, and  music.   In this new partnership with WeNowDMV we will be hosting an open mic that features LGBT artists and ally community performers as well.  This event will be infused with giveaways and raffles to celebrate our community as we fight stigma and HIV with creative education and awesome talent that will have you on your feet for most of the evening.  Please see the link below to reserve your free ticket the event is free but tickets are going fast so rsvp to ensure that you have a seat or table.  If you are a performer come out and show us what you got!  This event will feature many transgender artists and LGBT performers and all of the other performers are allies to our community so this is a safe space for all genders and orientations.    There will be several opportunities to engage with the DC Center staff to access various resources and referrals for those that are looking for additional services.

About this Event

We Now! Wednesdays! is an innovative open mic featuring house band Noise on Resistance. Their captivating presence and signature cocktail “Pink Noise” will be in full flow, ensuring the energy we all deserve in the middle of the week. Yea… you want to catch that vibe… and you want one (or two… We don’t judge) of these drinks!

To set the tone, N.o.R. will perform some of their original work, and to guarantee the groove, they’ll do a few selections with December’s featured artists Steelosoul & 84 Faces!

Then they’ll open the mic and welcome local artists to jam on some “standard” tunes in the jazz/blues/neo-soul/hip-hop tradition – or not so standard… N.o.R. is up to the challenge!

Also highlighting local visual artists, exciting and cutting-edge technology, and community leaders, movers, builders, and shakers; standing firmly on a socially progressive foundation, this event highlights the “Now” of DC consciousness and artistry.

Whether you’re an artist yourself, or you just love being around the true true livest of life, you will surely expand your tribe! In today’s climate, it must be understood… Yes, we all… are WE… NOW!

I mean really, what more you need on a whole Wednesday?
