This event celebrates the launch of new sexuality studies and socially engaged art programs at Goddard College. There will be a special screening of the work-in-progress on the forthcoming film No Homo | No Hetero: Sexual Fluidity and Manhood in Black America. This film explores the complexities, challenges, and beauty of being Black, bisexual and male in the United States. Through interviews, performance art, and archival footage, this full-length, experimental docu-poem invites the audience to explore the politics of living and loving authentically at the contentious intersection of racism, biphobia, and toxic masculinity.
Dr. Zelaika Hepworth Clarke (staff social worker at the DC Center for LGBT Community and Goddard Faculty member) will be moderating a panel discussion with co-directors David Cork (co-founder and chief creative officer of BiUs Entertainment) and Dr. H. Sharif “Herukhuti” Williams (Goddard Faculty member and founder and chief erotics officer of Center for Culture Sexuality and Spirituality).
Light refreshments will be available. This is a free event.
