The 25th Annual AIDS Walk Washington will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Sign up to walk with The DC Center and 50% of the money we raise as a team goes to The DC Center HIV Working Group! It is a great way to support Whitman-Walker Health and the DC Center HIV Working Group. To learn more about this effort or find out how you can get involved, please contact: aidswalk@thedccenter.org.
I recently started volunteering with the DC Center and Whitman-Walker Health providing HIV Counseling, Testing and Referrals services. I am passionate about working with the LGBT community and helping people get tested for HIV to know their status. I am looking forward to walking with the DC Center and helping to raise money to continue fighting the spread of HIV in Washington, DC. find out more...
Why EJ is Walking
I believe the more knowledge and awareness we can raise about HIV/AIDS, the less myth and stigma will prevail. HIV/AIDS is a symptom of a very powerful web of oppression that has caught my friends and neighbors. I will walk because if I don't walk, I am saying that there is something more important than the liberation of my friends. I want you to join me. find out more...
