WHO ARE WE?
In April of 2005 Elder OUTreach was formed to assist in ensuring that the Center maintained a focus on LGBT older adults. Elder OUTreach is a small group of dedicated volunteers, many of whom work in the field of aging or represent LGBT organizations. While the Center hosts a number of activities appropriate for individuals of all ages, Elder OUTreach will support programs designed to meet the unique needs of the older members of our community. Elder OUTreach welcomes interested individuals of all ages, as well as representatives of organizations serving older/LGBT people, to join us in serving our community’s elders.
A number of other programming ideas are currently being considered. We welcome your input and ideas. Send an e-mail to email@example.com, share your ideas, and let us know the best way to contact you for follow-up (e-mail, phone etc.). Thanks in advance for taking the time to help us serve our elders.
We need your help! Whether it is to serve with Elder OUTreach, host a program, facilitate a group or activity, volunteer at specific events, assist us at the Center in downtown Washington or volunteer in some other capacity – we have a place for you! Share your special interests or skills with DC metro elders! Just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know your name, interests and contact information and we’ll get right back to you.
Would you like periodic updates on Center programs for seniors? Send an e-mail to email@example.com and ask to be put on our Elder OUTreach listserve.
