Capitol Hill's Vitruvian Fine Art Gallery, 734 Seventh St. SE, second floor, will open New York-based artist Carolyn Weltman's "Testosterone and Other Toppings" with a wine and cheese reception on Saturday, Oct. 13, 7-9 p.m. Weltman is recognized and collected for her superior treatments, often erotic, of men, women and transgender persons, and her art has received numerous awards and honors. Her work is in the permanent collections of museums in the US and worldwide and is handled by Christie's, Phillips de Pury and Sotheby's. The show closes Nov. 11. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and by appointment.
