Scholarship Opportunity for LGBT Students

scholarshis.jpgThe Richard L. Schlegel Legion of Honor Award for Emerging Activist is administered by the Center for Diversity & Inclusion at American University in Washington, D.C. It recognizes a young individual (in high school or an undergraduate in college) who is living in the United States who has made outstanding contributions to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities. The recipient will receive a cash award and includes travel expenses for attending the Annual GLBT Studies Symposium on November 10, 2012.

The 2012 Richard L. Schlegel Award will be presented at the Annual GLBT Studies Symposium on November 10, 2012. Nominations will be accepted from now through Friday, October 12, 2012.
