The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) will convene a series of meetings entitled Community Engagement Sessions for Capacity Building. The purpose of these meetings is to inform the continued alignment of CDC's HIV prevention capacity building assistance (CBA) program with the High Impact HIV Prevention (HIP) approach to strategies including "treatment as prevention", and the cascading imperatives outlined in the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS). We invite HIV prevention and care practitioners from health departments, community-based organizations, and clinical settings to discuss 1) your strategies in implementing HIV prevention interventions for individuals at risk for HIV transmission and acquisition and 2) your preferences regarding training and technical assistance to address your identified capacity building assistance (CBA) needs.
