kuchu092012.pngThis fall Abagail Maravalli, who works for the Center for Social Media at American University will be co-hosting the 13th Annual Human Rights Film Series with the Washington College of Law's Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

The third film in the series is CALL ME KUCHU, a documentary aligned with our interests in the LGBT community. The film focuses on Uganda's recent "Anti-Homosexuality Bill," which proposes death for HIV-positive gay men and imprisonment for any individual who fails to report a known homosexual.

The screening will take place at the Katzen Arts Center (4400 Mass Ave NW) on October 11th, at 5:30 PM.

The filmmakers will be present for a Q & A session after the screening, led by experts from the law school and SIS on topics pertinent to the film.

We hope to see you on Oct. 11!
