Center Faith Logo - 0730.jpgLast December the US Government pledged to work towards decriminalization of homosexuality overseas and ensure that US foreign aid is leveraged to promote LGBTI rights.

These announcements were met with a violent backlash against LGBTI citizens of Liberia. There has been an increase in the violent attacks against LGBTI Liberians and an increase in public announcements by officials denouncing LGBTI rights.

A letter has been created to appeal to the US Secretary of State to address the violence and discrimination occurring in Liberia. The Takoma Park Presbyterian Church has recently voted to support the rights of LGBTI people in Liberia, but more churches need to adopt this petition to make an impact on Secretary Clinton.
