Positive (LGBT) Women Making Positive Choices was founded in September 2011 by Tiffany Nickerson and Darnessa Fitzgerald for the purpose of cultivating positive energy within our community and society as a whole by establishing stability, opportunities to foster strong connections through structured social and charitable events. We believe that by striving to do this we are building strong bonds and it is our choice to support our community.

PWMPC has been privileged to serve youth by participating in Holiday for Hope in December 2011 an event where homeless youth and their families received Christmas gifts and were able to have a day full of fun. We make it our priority to engage the youth in many of our events such as, Family Movie Night, Skate Celebration for Families among others.

PWMPC has partnered with The DC Center to continue our mission of serving youth. We will host two events per month for the youth to participate in and have a safe place to go.

The LGBT Youth Dance Party will take place Saturday July 28th from 6:00 to 11:00 PM here at the DC Center! There will be Dance Instruction from Chris "Skip" Williams.
