Currently there is no specific HIV prevention programming for the transgender community in Northern Virginia. The goal of these focus groups is to determine the size of the community, their knowledge and beliefs about HIV and substance use, and their experiences both living as a transgender person in Northern Virginia and trying to receive government or social services. Dinner will be provided to participants, and and they will also be given a $10 Target gift card as a token of gratitude.
