The following blog post was written by Sabrina Winston, Cesar Chavez Public High School, as part of her mini-internship at the DC Center.
The DC Center attended the thirty-seventh legislative meeting on Tuesday, June 5th. The agenda for this session included the the Youth Bullying Prevention Act of 2012; the council voted in favor of the Youth Bulling Prevention Act of 2012 and the only changes that were made to the legislation during the session were technical changes. Bullying and harassment in schools is an ongoing problem and this piece of legislative is only the first step in putting an end to bullying.
