Poets Sally Bellerose, Cassandra Christenson, Julie R. Enszer, Gina R. Evers, Andy Izenson, and Ronna Magy come to the DC Center on Saturday, August 4th to read their work from the new anthology, Lady Business: A Celebration of Lesbian Poetry. The reading begins at 4:00 PM and is part of the 2012 OutWrite LGBT Book Fair.

Lady Business, available this August from Sibling Rivalry Press, features some of the most talented and diverse voices from established and emerging female poets. Across the collection, the poems' different speakers cope with internal struggles, come out, fall in love (and lust), run to and from family, and live ordinary and magnificent lives. Editor Bryan Borland says of the collection: "A collective history emerges as you read these poems. Lady Business is a representation of the American lesbian experience over the last century."

Lady Business: A Celebration of Lesbian Poetry features the work of Sally Bellerose, Brit Blalock, Cassandra Christenson, Marty Correia, Teresa De La Cruz, Julie R. Enszer, Gina R. Evers, Andy Izenson, Ronna Magy, Mary Meriam, Maureen Seaton, and Jan Steckel.

The OutWrite Book Fair will include several book and poetry readings, and literature discussions. Several book publishers will display and sell recently published LGBT books, and the DC Center will have over 1,000 used LGBT themed books for sale at the event.
