The DC Center and Split This Rock will be sponsoring Smokin' Words, a night of spoken word, poetry, and other performances about the LGBT community and our struggles with smoking. The event will be held at Busboys & Poets, 2021 14th Street NW on Thursday, November 17th and we are looking for a few volunteers to assist. For complete information about this event, click here.

The event starts at 9:00 PM but volunteers are asked to arrive at 8:00 PM. Volunteers will assist in setting up the room, greeting visitors, and will generally assist with whatever is needed to make the event a success.
