Washington DC LGBT Literary History

bookhistory1.gifJoin local writers, scholars, and activists as they reveal the LGBT literary history of Washington D.C. from the 1920s through the 1980s and into today. Come hear stories and see photos from eight decades, including Dan Vera on the Harlem Renaissance era in D.C. and gay poetry; Philip Clark on gay pulp novels and physique magazines; Deacon Maccubbin and Jim Bennett on the founding of Lambda Rising; Deb Morris on Lammas and lesbian women's writing; and Wayson Jones and Michelle Parkerson on African American LGBT writing and the ENIKAlley Coffeehouse.
