Join us Saturday August 6th at 2:30 pm as Aaron Anson reads from his book Mind Your Own Life: The Journey Back to Love. This event is part of the OutWrite LGBT Book Fair. Find out more at: www.outwritedc.org.
This book is a life-enhancing and thought-provoking memoir of growing up a confused and closeted gay in a deeply religious south. After a brief stint in the military Anson finds himself at odds with a religion he inherited and the inherent feeling of also being gay.
His quest for authentic confirmation leads him on a journey of love, laughter, turmoil and tears. He struggles with denial, depression and acceptance along with the inner conflicts of his own intolerant religious beliefs that embraced conformism over self-awareness.
Anson's odyssey engagingly dispenses insightful inspirations and a profound awareness of self-love and acceptance for first yourself and then others without indoctrinated preconditions. This discovery of affirmation authenticates that when you mind your own life, you partake in the utter blissfulness of the amazing universe that created you.
