Are you looking for a job? Feel a little lost, and like you need some direction and motivation? After you've taken advantage of The DC Center's Career Development, make sure to attend the 14th Annual Job Fair on Tuesday, August 9th! This year's fair is at the Washington Convention Center, in Hall C. (801 Mount Vernon Place, NW. Use the Main Entrance at the corner of 7th and L St. NW.) This fair is for DC residents only.
There will be 100 employers, from varying fields, such as Federal, State, and Local; Private Sector; Jobs for Recent College Grads; Technical and Trade Schools for Training; and Construction.
The event starts at 9:30AM, with workshops lasting until 11AM, such as
-Dress for Success Fashion Show
- Resume Writing 101
- Completing DC Employment and Federal Applications
- Interview Tips and Techniques
The fair begins at 11AM, where you'll be able to meet with the potential employers.
You must bring a picture ID and/or proof of residency, such as a driver's license, non-driver's photo ID, voter registration card, pay stub, utility bill, or lease.
Also, don't forget to bring copies of your resume, and to dress for success!
