Please join us for Persistent Voices, a special night of poetry, reflection, art, fellowship, and remembrance in honor of World AIDS Day and those we've lost to HIV/AIDS. Persistent Voices takes place the night before World AIDS Day and is brought to you by Us Helping Us, The DC Center, and the Vaccine Research Center.

Hosted by Roby Chavez. Readings by: Timur Tugberk, Clarence Fluker, Monte Wolfe,
Jeremy Pace, David Richardson, Sampson McCormick, Antonio Pineda, Mark Chalfant,
Jacob Pring, and Philip Clark.

The event takes place Tuesday November 30th at the Thurgood Marshall Center (1816 12th Street NW). A reception will begin at 6:30 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:00 PM.

Persistent Voices is an anthology of poems by writers who died of AIDS. Several of these poems will be performed at the event by local actors, poets, and community members. The editor of Persistent Voices, Philip Clark, will be our special guest this evening.
