Hey,

My name is Alejandro and I am honored to be the newest intern at the DC Center!

I am currently about to finish my double Bachelor's in Sociology and Biology at George Mason University. I am also really involved in the LGBTQ community in college, having been Treasurer and Co-Chair of our LGBT student organization, Pride Alliance. In addition, I also have assisted with GMU Pride Week 2010 and a series of panels that are aimed at addressing Latino LGBTQ issues.

I have had the privilege of being placed in the LGBT community center of Durban, South Africa this past summer and since then I realized I would like to continue making a difference for my community in the area where I have grown up.

I would like to see full equality and acceptance for all people, and an end to homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, classism, and many, many other types of discrimination and oppression that exist out there today.

I look forward to working with a great staff here at the Center! I will be mostly help out with GLOV and a Buddy Program we are currently setting up.
